Defender Projector Enclosures
Projector enclosure planning for coastal air, high humidity and other environments where basic fan-assisted cooling is not the right starting point.
Defender is the preferred Screen Solutions International enclosure family for salt-air locations, humid regions, elevated environmental exposure and other demanding conditions, with final capacity and installation suitability verified project by project.
Protect the projector by designing for the environment.
Environmental conditionsThermal managementProjector fitActual enclosure configuration, dimensions, cooling capacity and any ingress rating must be confirmed against the selected product and site. This is a planning graphic, not a product photograph or certification.
When Defender is the first choice.
A projector enclosure is exposed to the site around it. Environmental routing comes before size selection.
Coastal and salt-air sites
Coastal regions and salt-air exposure route to Defender for detailed corrosion, enclosure construction and protection review.
High humidity and harsh climate
Locations with consistently high humidity or challenging ambient conditions require climate-controlled enclosure evaluation.
Professional installations
Long-use or demanding installations must be evaluated for projector heat load, ventilation, serviceability and environmental requirements.
Defender thermal-fit thresholds.
The project team uses maximum projector electrical wattage as an initial thermal screening parameter. These values are the approved Defender reference thresholds, not guaranteed fit approvals.
Engineering confirmation required: check manufacturer maximum input power, body dimensions, lens geometry, intake/exhaust, duty cycle, ambient design conditions and selected model specifications. A wattage under the listed threshold does not itself certify enclosure fit or cooling performance.
Five details we review before selecting a Defender.
- Projector model and lens: exact manufacturer model, size and technical drawings.
- Maximum electrical input: engineering thermal screening against the appropriate Defender reference threshold.
- Intake, exhaust and service: cooling path, access and maintenance clearances.
- Ambient and environmental exposure: humidity, salt, temperature, dust or water conditions requiring model-specific protection verification.
- Installation geometry: mounting, cable connections, orientation, support and lens centerline.
From project conditions to enclosure selection.
01. Define the location
Document local climate, exposure and mounting environment. Coastal/salt-air, high humidity and harsher conditions trigger Defender review.
02. Confirm projector data
Collect exact projector and lens dimensions, maximum wattage, airflow and manufacturer documentation.
03. Verify specification
Select the actual Defender model with engineering confirmation of thermal sizing, physical fit, protection specifications and service access.
Choose climate control with the right facts.
What size Defender should I use?
Start with maximum projector wattage as an initial thermal threshold, but confirm the selected model’s physical dimensions, cooling, intake/exhaust, lens and ambient operating conditions before approving a size.
Is every Defender enclosure IP65?
Do not assume an IP rating from the family name. Any specific IP or environmental rating must be confirmed in the selected enclosure’s official technical documentation.
Can I use Homeline or Integrator by the coast?
The approved selection rule routes coastal/salt-air, high-humidity and harsher sites to Defender by default. Review special project circumstances and manufacturer specifications before deviating.
Can I submit my project here?
Not yet. Online project inquiries are unavailable until contact delivery and privacy checks are complete.
Match protection to the place—and the projector.
Use the reference thresholds to begin planning and verify each actual projector/enclosure pairing. Online compatibility submissions are not yet enabled.
